Gowanus, notoriously known for its industrial grit and its less than pristine canal, has experienced a major revitalization in the past few years. Gone are the dilapidated warehouses and in their place are converted coworking spaces, luxury high-rises, and local microbreweries. On Baltic Street, this event space sits on the border with Boerum Hill and Park Slope, benefitting from its close proximity to the Barclays Center.

The Barclays Center, a 10-minute walk away, is a huge draw for big crowds catching a Nets game or a Jay-Z concert depending on the night. Closer to Baltic, Littlefield is a performance space that’s popular with the more artsy types. When it’s warm out, Pig Beach is where you’ll find colorfully-dressed patrons having a beer and a rack of ribs on an outdoor bench. The Atlantic Terminal hub is nearby, providing easy access to the 2/3/4/5 and B/Q trains.
On the same block is a glass and mirror manufacturer and half a block down is Gotham Archery, an indoor archery range. Brooklyn Boulders is around the corner, a rock climbing space that’s popular with the younger crowd who like to keep in shape without hitting the gym.
The space itself is huge but this part of Baltic Street doesn’t see a ton of foot traffic.
