What was once a road that ran through farmland is now the height of downtown New York City living. Thanks to low-rise buildings, meandering side streets, and businesses big and small, Bleecker Street is famous the world over for its laid-back luxury.
Here, on a tree-lined block is this one-story, high-visibility retail shop that's flexible but still retains the character of the neighborhood. The glass-windowed frontage gives the store lots of lights. Upon entering, there's a step down into a sunken central area that has tile, recessed lighting, a built-in counter and a flexible wrap desk (with a sink). There's also lots of storage and shelving in the back.
Neighbors like Marc Jacobs, Jo Malone, Paul Smith, and Intermix dot the area and it that "Greenwich Village character" It's also accessible via a short walk to the 1/2/3/A/C/E/L subway trains.
The flooring needs finishing off.
