A Little About This Space

Chic spaces and sweeping views of Manhattan are the major pull of Dumbo. Sitting on Jay Street, where shops and cafes ooze Brooklyn cool, this venue overlooks one of the best wine bars in the area and couldn’t have a more perfect location. The space is low-key and acts as a nice break from the overly manicured venues across the Brooklyn bridge. It has huge floor to ceiling windows at the front, and plenty of space for you to host any kind of event; whether it’s a bespoke launch party or an indie film screening. There’s also a large fitted bar to one side which is always a plus.

THE CROWD

Without a doubt Dumbo is one of the most visited spots in New York. It’s a truly Brooklyn mix of class and sass, where trendy young professionals, artists, musicians and start-up founders alike come to unwind and chat ideas. These folks are too good for chain stores and franchise bars and are looking for somewhere a little quirkier to let loose and unwind. The cool, historic cobblestoned streets attract people from far and wide to photograph the ultra-hip neighbourhood. The regular weekend flea market is also a huge draw and sees the street transformed into a vintage and food bonanza. After it, the fashion savvy visitors are often on the hunt for the next cool event to attend.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

This neighbourhood is brimming with galleries and cafes, gorgeous parks, unbeatable views, outdoor movies, and excellent restaurants like the Vinegar Hill House, River Cafe, Govner's and famous Grimaldi's Pizza, which is a five minute walk away on Front Street. Next door you have a hip Mexican cantina and across the way Trunk womenswear which attracts trendy folk from all over. Let’s not forget the unmatched Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline views that are both around the corner. There’s easy access to the area, with Times Square being 25 minutes away and the Financial district being 15 minutes away by subway.

Home Truths

It has to be said that the event space is a little rough around the edges and could do with a touch of TLC.
