A Little About This Space

Originally a residential working-class neighborhood with a wide mix of immigrants from all over the world, the Lower East Side has transformed into an area known for its art galleries, independently owned boutiques, and restaurants. And the Williamsburgh Bridge makes getting from Brooklyn to Manhattan an easy five-minute bike ride.

Right off of the busy bridge is this two-floor space in a 1920s-era tenement-style building. The narrow-ish ground level has high, dropped ceilings with fluorescent lighting. Toward the back, there are two small windows. A set of steps leads downstairs to a versatile space with lots of room and, surprisingly, lots of light thanks to the recessed lighting.

Although there’s a lot of foot traffic from people from all over the city visiting the Tenement Museum or Russ & Daughters, the area still feels like one of those quintessentially New York City 'hoods. (Does it get more NYC than nearby Katz Deli?) There’s also many transportation options with the M/J/Z train, buses, and Citibike stations.
