Opened on the site of an old paper factory in late 2016, community food market Mercato Metropolitano has quickly become a destination for foodies and artisan producers. Inside, this open-plan event space comes with a bar, dance floor and several seating areas as well as a fitness studio that can be incorporated into your event or used as extra space.

THE CROWD

During weekdays, the market’s grocery stalls, pop-up bars and street food outlets attract a small number of diners and shoppers, especially around lunchtime. Weekday evenings are busier, but it’s the weekends that see the biggest crowds, as families, students and locals come for lunch and stay well into the night. In terms of brands you're in good company; Agent Provocateur and Nike have all done events here. Borough and Elephant & Castle stations are a five-minute walk.
