A Little About This Space

The edgy and industrial Newington Causeway passes through Elephant and Castle, a thriving night-time area for students and trendy young professionals. Mercato Metropolitano is London's top sustainable food market, and The French Corner celebrates all things French. This market stall for rent (with electricity provided) is available for a small organic and sustainable French brand to take over.

Mercato Metropolitano takes a sustainable and local approach to food, drawing a vibrant, young and creative crowd with similar core values to the market. This area of South London is most popular with students and young professionals, so expect evenings and weekends to be the busiest as they come for a tasty meal before heading out. There’s easy access from Elephant and Castle and Borough stations.

The market is home to artisan producers who all share a passion for food, and musicians and artists who come to enjoy live performances and exhibitions. The French Corner is an area of the market for French brands only, and cultivates the culture of sustainable French cuisine. The market is next door to Backyard Cinema, and down the road from the world-famous nightclub, Ministry of Sound.

Home Truths

There are already a number of food options so the Landlord would prefer clothing, homewares and lifestyle brands. They will consider f&b brands, considering they're organic, sustainable and don't clash with any of the current traders.

This space is for brands with a french twist, so think of ways to incorporate a French theme.

The space for rent is a small market stall, approximately 3m in length and 2m wide.

There's no gas and no water, but power is provided.
