People come far and wide to experience Peckham's burgeoning culinary scene and celebrated nightlife. Peckham High Street doesn't have the nightlife but everything locals need – local shops selling flowers, bikes, cakes, and many independent supermarkets for shopping obscure ingredients from around the world. THE CROWD

The street gets busy in the evenings with locals eating out or heading to the The Kentish Dovers pub a few doors down. Saturdays are busiest with weekend shoppers coming to and from Rye Lane, opposite, for big retailers like Primark and Argos. Locals do their weekly shop in the Morrisons across the road or in one of the small supermarkets, usually in the afternoons and early evenings. Peckham Rye station is a 5-minute walk away.
