From blown-out factories and abandoned warehouses to high-end shopping malls and converted lofts, Dumbo’s story is a story of transformation. Deriving its name from the bridge that connects Brooklyn to Manhattan, this event space sits right under the picturesque Manhattan Bridge on the corner of Plymouth St.
On the weekends, Brooklyn Bridge Park is a popular destination for visitors to Dumbo to come and enjoy the outdoors and immaculate green space. A little further up the street from Plymouth is Brooklyn Flea, an outdoor market open from the spring to the fall that sells vintage goods and gourmet food that’s a hit with tourists and locals alike. Dense with creative and digital agencies, you’ll find young professionals having lunch at Superfine, a warehouse turned Mediterranean restaurant and then blowing off some after work steam at the Jay Street Bar. This area of Dumbo is serviced by the F train at York Street, a five minute walk away.
You’ll have this block of Plymouth to yourself. On the opposite side is a piano store. Around the corner on Jay Street is Brooklyn Roasting Company, an eco-friendly cafe that caters to freelancers and creatives.
All clean up and break down will need to be completed by renter. Space should look the same as when you entered.
Music/sound should be limited to avoid disruption to tenants above. Anyone looking to use the space for DJ/shows should look elsewhere.
Since being photographed the space has had a fresh coat of paint and privacy screens added to the windows!
Plymouth Street is a little off the beaten path so be sure to stand out.
