Plaine Monceau is in the 17th arrondissement, northwest of Paris’s city centre. This neighbourhood is polished and home to affluent locals, not to mention a series of upmarket restaurants and spaces. This is one of them – and it’s now available to rent.
Currently a Japanese restaurant, this space opens out directly onto a busy avenue. So getting people’s attention shouldn’t be a problem. There are large, floor-to-ceiling windows at the front and inside is a blank space ready to go. There isn’t too much branding, so it should be easy to set up and take down. Beautiful tiling, clean white walls and elegant spotlights feature throughout. There’s also a terrace for extra seating, and a steel-style serving hatch from the kitchen.
You’ll be appearing close to Porte de Champerret Metro station, in an area that’s currently more localised than packed with tourists. However, there are plenty of hotels around and more and more people stopping here all the time. With prestigious eateries Petrus and Dessirier in the vicinity, focus on quality and originality to delight visitors.
The kitchen is quite small and needs cleaning. In some places the paintwork is peeling.
