If you’re looking for speakeasy-style bars and some after-hours fun, then Soho’s sure be up there at the top of your list. On a street long associated with music and fashion (thanks to its cool vinyl shops and fabric stores) is this large event space, which can also be accessed from the Wardour Street entrance of the Coyote Ugly-inspired Dirty Harry’s cocktail bar.
There’s a vibrant community of market stall holders and indie shops on this street in the middle of Soho’s vinyl triangle, so called for its abundance of rare and second-hand record stores. Shoppers and tourists mingle with the area’s many media workers during the day, and people from all walks come here in their droves to let their hair down in the evenings and at weekends. Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus stations are five minutes’ walk away.
Family-run restaurant Cookhouse Joe and fabric shop Misan Textiles are to either side of the Berwick Street entrance. Tongue & Brisket, “the home of real salt beef”, and a Vodaphone shop are next door to the Wardour Street entrance.
This is a basement space, so make sure you've got enough street signage to let people know you're down there.
