A Little About This Space

The early 18th-century Grade II listed building is steeped in history and the oldest in Shoreditch. It's got a door that was part of the original church next door that Shakespeare himself was rumoured to use. Rent this ground floor pop-up space on Shoreditch High Street, opposite some of its most popular bars and restaurants.

THE CROWD

Cool bars, quirky boutiques and independent eateries make Shoreditch High Street a destination for hip locals, City workers and tourists. The likes of House of Hackney, Elemental, Religion and Aida (all opposite) attract design-lovers and fashionistas during the day. Over the road, the Shoreditch staple Bar Kick and Dragon fills up in the evenings. The area is liveliest at the weekends, especially on Sundays as hordes head to and from Columbia Road nearby.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

Next door, St Leonard’s Church hosts regular concerts and events alongside its Sunday services. To the other side, Restoration Station is a not-for-profit organisation that helps recovering addicts gain work by reviving antique furniture.

Rules of The Space

The building is owned by the Church, so brands mustn't conflict with Church values.

The price quoted does not include use of the basement space. This can be added for an additional £1,000 per month or £230 per week.

If the landlord has another tenant in the lower or upper floors, then the toilet and kitchenette facilities next to the space will need to be shared.

This is a Grade II listed building so redecoration is allowed but no structural changes can be made. This means that the sign outside must also stay in place.

Home Truths

The shop is owned by the Church, so brands that are deemed offensive (including the sale of alcohol) is not allowed.

Unfortunately food concepts are not permitted in this space.

This listing is for the ground floor only.
