The Five at Five: Patrick Church
25 Jun 2020
The Five at Five is a download of the best things to read, watch, shop, and get inspiration from – ready for the weekend. Each week, we’ll be bringing you selections from different tastemakers in our community, so you can delve into what’s keeping them entertained.
This week’s curator is Patrick Church, a British multimedia artist currently living and working in New York City, blurring the boundaries between art and fashion. Enjoy.
I just like looking at the pictures. These two in particular: Behold a New World, David LaChapelle & Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott
Recently when I need to exit my thoughts and feel something, I catch myself going to the work of Pina Bausch. My husband went back to work today for the first time in 3 months. While I love so much of her work, today this is my favorite video: Pina Bausch: Nelken, excerpt: The Man I Love
Today I am painting to house music, see: Can you feel it: Mr. Fingers, Night Drive: Shinichiro Tokota.
I think being stuck at home has a lot to do with it but I keep buying vintage furniture and having things reupholstered in my artwork.
I am really so proud of my friend Phillip Picardi. Listen to his new podcast Unholier Than Thou and follow him on instagram.
