Bar & Restaurant
Lining the Southbank between the National Theatre and the OXO Tower, The Spread’s vibrant collection of street food vendors gives hungry punters something to chew on while they take in some of the capital’s best-known sights. Join the line-up by bringing your F&B idea to a stall here, and meet the literally thousands of people who come here to sample some of London’s tastiest street food.
Open Wednesday through Sunday, The Spread attracts everyone from office workers and locals on weekday lunchtimes, to tourists and culture vultures at the weekends when the Southbank is absolutely swarming with people. And with the market staying open until 9pm (apart from Sundays), you’ll see the post-work and pre-theatre crowd heading here for a bite to eat and a few craft beers or cocktails from The Spread Bar. Waterloo station is a seven-minute walk away.
You’ll be in the middle of the capital’s cultural quarter here, with the National Theatre, Southbank Centre, Royal Festival Hall and Tate Modern all nearby. You’ll also be near Gabriel’s Wharf and its mix of independent shops, restaurants and bars.
